Currently not accepting your donation?
Acceptance of donations is conditional depending on the ReStore ability to sell items quickly to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Builds.
ReStore normally accepts furniture, appliances and building materials however, we are limited to what we can accept. It costs money to process and display items for sale. Using labor, equipment, and space resources efficiently and effectively requires us to choose items for sale that yield the best benefit for our partners in affordable housing.
Our ability to accept specific items can change by the hour, depending on the following and other conditions:
Items recently received: We may have more of a certain item than we need or have room for.
Items recently sold: We may have sold enough to free up space, so we accept more.
Uniqueness: If it only fits with certain sizes, brands, or models it may not be resellable.
Condition: Dirty, damaged, broken items, do not sell well. If it needs just a little cleaning or repair, please do that before donating.
Age: Some things deteriorate or become obsolete over time.
Complication: Some items that require assembly and unpacking for inspection consume too much labor time to maintain them intact on the display floor.
Size: Sometimes we just don't have enough room.
Safety: Some items are too fragile, or potentially dangerous to employees, volunteers, and customers.
For current assessment of what is acceptable, bring the item(s) to the donation drop off door at the ReStore.
If the item(s) are not currently acceptable, please know that we deeply appreciate your desire to help and hope you continue to support Habitat’s mission to ensure everyone has a safe and stable place to call home.
